The Session is composed of 18 elders nominated elected from the congregation, and the pastors. Every elder serves on a commission (descriptions below) and reports monthly their commissions' work back to the Session. Some commissions are also informed and assisted by committees. The Session is the main decision-making body of the First Presbyterian Church of Maumee
